Every year, we love hearing the fun ways couples ask one another to prom as girls come in the store with funny stories about their promposals.
Coming up with a way to ask your significant other to prom is already hard enough, but with the ongoing pandemic, it’s become even more difficult to find ways to ask them safely. To help with this newfound issue, we’re sharing a few of our favorite covid-safe promposal ideas!
All the rules have been thrown out this year, so why not ask your date? We love to see girls making the first move! Set the tone for prom with a bold, confident promposal as striking as your dress.
Send A Pizza
An easy way to ask someone to prom (and a crowd-pleaser) is with a simple pizza delivery! If you ask, most delivery places will write on the box—have them put a little note asking your date to prom inside! And if you’re concerned about how the note looks, get carry-out, then write the note and deliver the pizza yourself. This cute, fun promposal could be done with any variety of takeout, and easily lets you distance while you ask—or if you want, share the food and make it a date night as well!
Picnic
Another easy way to make your promposal safer is to do it outdoors! Set up a picnic with all of their favorite snacks and food, and ask them with a sign at the picnic. If you want to be as safe as possible, you could even set up two blankets for the picnic. The best part? This promposal doubles as a cute date idea!
Post-Its
An easy way to ask while distancing is to spell “prom?” with post-it notes (or another item—post-its are usually most budget-friendly and quickest) somewhere you know they will see it. Think garage door, wall of a classroom, side of their car, on the wall at a sports practice—anywhere works as long as you know they’ll see it. This can easily be set up ahead of time so you can distance!
